LanguageMAP™ is designed around a scalable client-server architecture, to ensure that the system can grow and adapt to meet the demands of the international client base.

The LanguageMAP™ engine is built from innovative technology housed at the University of Queensland, based around a MySQL(TM)  database, running on a Linux(TM) server. This combination of technologies was chosen for the power, robustness and flexibility which it provides, as well as the accessibility of the open-source architecture.

Clients interact with the system using familiar and globally accessible technology: a Java(TM)-enabled web-browser is all that is required for a student to sit a test, or an ESL teacher to administer a set of activities for her students.
